    In 2016, our family saw a need for well-made children's electronic products. After 2 years in development, we launched our first idea on Kickstarter and raised 300% our funding goal!

How Does Mella Work?

Every night, MELLA goes to sleep (with an optional, automatic night light). Up to 30 min before the wake time, MELLA can optionally turn yellow. Teach your kid to play quietly until it's time to wake! At the wake up time, MELLA will greet your kid with a smile and glow green!

  • At the sleep time, MELLA's eyes will close and you can set an AUTOMATIC night light to come on at the same time.

    Also, the Yellow Play Light is optional - it can be totally toggled OFF choose from time intervals ranging from 5-30 minutes.

  • Yes to both! For the light ring, there are THREE brightness settings to choose from. For the screen display, there are FIVE brightness settings to choose from. You can even dim the face ALL THE WAY to black!

  • Yes to both! The sound machine and night light have various duration options including continuously/all night long. Even though the out of the box default duration is 30 minutes, the duration can be changed in the settings.

  • NO - MELLA must be plugged in to work. A pre-installed battery is solely meant for timekeeping/memory keeping in the event of moving the unit or a power outage. We sell replacement USB cables/adapters - search for Amazon product B0D77HNSYC.
